Longview Regional Medical Center is an acute care hospital licensed for 166 beds which includes the Skilled Nursing Facility. Longview Regional is also a designated Level III Trauma Center. Our professional staff is here to provide Physical and Occupational therapy to patients in the acute care setting who are hospitalized due to an accident or illness or surgery. Some of the diagnoses regularly seen by PT/OT are: Orthopedic, Total Hip/Knee replacement, CVA/neurological, spinal surgery, Respiratory patients, cardiac surgeries, amputee, same day surgery, wound VAC care, general medical/surgical patients, trauma patients and geriatrics. Physical Therapy also treats outpatients for burn or wound care and provides pre-operative instruction to patients who will be undergoing a Total Hip or Knee Replacement surgery.
